Do admit fault.
This is one of the hardest of all the dos. It’s also one of the most powerful. You and your partner need to practice give-and-take. So if you’re wrong, say so and then move on. You may not be ready to admit fault immediately, but as soon as you can, do it. As difficult as it can be, a sincere apology presents a quicker and more enjoyable way to end an argument. We’re not saying that you should always give in, but when you’re wrong, admit it.
