Discovering Food Conflicts While Dating

Everyone can probably agree on one thing – that they love to eat. But it’s a little tougher to always agree on what type of foods you enjoy. This can be especially tricky when you are dating and trying to decide on where to eat. For example, if you are a vegetarian, you probably aren’t very interested in the all you can eat meat buffet at the local deli. But your partner might really want to try it, so that might pose some challenges in the planning of your time together.

When food conflicts arise in your relationship, it’s important to not only be patient, but to also be creative. Try and find some restaurants in your area that serve a broader variety of foods so each of you has the opportunity to eat something you like. Or take turns when you dine out – your date selects where you eat for a date, and then you get to pick the next time the two of you go out.

However you decide to handle the food conflict in your relationship, the most important thing is to have fun together. After all, that is the whole point of dating isn’t it? Don’t spend too much time worrying about the details of your time together – just appreciate that you are together.
